Perspectives on American Patriotism Part 2

Perspectives on American Patriotism Part 2

For our first ever blog-post we decided to tackle the topic of Patriotism, especially among the American leftists, the background within the article is American however the theme also applies generally. Two members of our syndicate wanted to make their thoughts known about this topic as such we are publishing two blogposts from each author. Enjoy part 2 below:

Be Patriots, A letter to the American Left

Be Patriots.

This is it, be patriotic.

How many American white leftists say things like "Americans have no culture", "we are settlers and should be deported", "this isn't our land".

All this is just awful, straight up terrible. It smells of elitism, and isn't appealing to the people.

What do you think your average American thinks when they hear you say awful things about your homeland, about the community you were raised in, about a country that they identify with and are a part of on a personal level? Do you think they are running with open arms to join you shouting 'Death to America' at the top of their lungs? Well, given how there are no genuine socialist parties with any popular support, this is clearly not the case.

American left was taken over by self-aggrandising liberals too interested in portraying themselves as evil oppressors rather than winning popular support among their American countrymen.

They will call working class Trump supporters, "Ignorant bafoons" and create safe-spaces with likeminded, intolerable snobs. This can't do!

Winning is hard, it isn't easy, it is easy to lose, after all, you can lose if you exert minimal effort, but you seldom win without trying. Our task is an incredibly difficult one, we are to replace the capitalist system of unfettered individualism and exploitation with a collectivist one based on mutual aid and the power of the people over their oppressors!

This isn't easy, this requires appealing to the masses as they are, not as you wish they were, because revolution won't come by itself. It needs organising and hard-work, it needs acceptance of things as they are and self-sacrifice, forfeiting your own health, even your life if needs be, just for the cause. Just to take a single step forward.

Face it, people love their country and you should too.

Would it not be more appealing to live in a closely knit community where everyone helps each other, where you feel safe among others, and where nobody is a stranger to you, where you work together to solve problems and challenge capitalism as a threat to the collective spirit of such a community based on mutual aid, wouldn't it be also wonderful if such a community took on a national spirit? With great geographical coverage of people and where together you work to create a system made by the people, run for the people, effectively being a system which represents the people?

This can be done only via collectivism and a clear cut rejection of individualism. Of forming communities and not being an elitist, of appealing to masses and not trying to control and reform them.

So think about this, the next time you talk to Trump supporters, remember this important lesson: They are your fellow countrymen, they love this land, the reason they go for Trump is because they feel represented somewhat by him, you should also show them that you love this land and you feel the same sentiment, the same sentiment which lies dormant in the hearts and souls of all Americans, blacks, whites, latino etc.

Trump is not a sign of fascism, it is a sign of desperation, you think Trump supporters truly feel represented by the racist idiot that is Trump, of course not, they feel as deeply ashamed as anyone else, but where else do they have to turn? There's no other option, you have to make one for them, win their minds and their hearts, this is the job of you, the American left!

So study the conditions as they are, don't shy away from practical proposals and above all, do not resort to liberal snobiness!

This might not be the greatest country on earth, but it's your country, and this is why it's great.

Welcome to the New Wave Syndicate

Welcome to the New Wave Syndicate Blog  1. Who are we? We are members from all sorts of backgrounds, knowledge, and levels of experience banded together under a common ambition for doing more than just talking/infighting/debating amongst each other; we wanted to unite under this mutual desire for change. We offer a space where members as a community can unite and use their common creative powers for various projects be it blogs such as this, video making, podcasts, art, music etc. We found that our strength is in the collective over the individual and we want a place which isn't about a single ego, a place where we make things happen as a group! A place where no blog article is done by just one person, no video is made without a common effort, it's all about teamwork for a common collective goal! Our community extends past the efficacy of discussion. We recognized the potential for online praxis amongst our comrades and friends and as a result, New Wave Syndicate was formed.  ...

What is individualism and why do we need to fight it?

What is individualism and why do we need to fight it? Individualism is a concept derived from the Christian belief of the 'soul'. The concept of the soul divided humans into separate units that are separately judged by God for their actions and deeds as opposed to being judged by any collective structure like a family, tribe, nationality etc. It atomises people and makes them think only of themselves as being responsible for their actions and severs the link that they previously innately had with their communities. This concept was too mystic, so during the enlightenment the soul got all of its mythological elements removed, this was the birth of an 'individual'. In essence though, the individual is the same as the Christian concept of 'soul'. It relies on free will, people choosing whatever they want to do with no obligations to anyone but themselves. Human rights also came from this same concept because human rights are there to protect the individuals. Even i...

Enjoy part 1 below:   Love Your Nation Leftists in America are in a unique position. Our very name is used as derogatory buzzword. Our country is the very center of the capitalist ideology, which has infested, abused, and disfigured our country for centuries. Our government has been at the forefront of silencing leftist movements across the world, and destroying real democracies. It is therefore obvious why many leftists hate us, and hate our past. It is obvious why many of us hate our country as well. This however, is detrimental to our movement.  Through this hate many fall into the traps ...
